Welcome to my new product testing page!
I have decided to evaluate a hive entrance reducer that was presented at Apimondia.
It's called the HiveGate

The HyfeGate fellowship page is private, where we can share ideas, how it's working, or not. How to adapt to specific hive configurations and more. Share away!
If there is a U.S. seller of this product, please let me know and I’ll add that source here in the future.
The inventor resides in New Zealand where wasps were devastating his beehives.
I've been thinking about entrance modifications through the years and this design aligns with my thoughts, after reading the website and receiving responses from the inventor that provided additional information regarding the testing he's done and observations he's made in New Zealand, I decided to kick off my citizen science project here.
Book-Mark this page as I will be posting videos here that may be unlisted and not on my YouTube Channel. My evaluations will be apart from Bee-IQ Solutions, and they are not compensating me for this. Though I do plan to share my results, good or bad, with the originator of the product so that modifications can be made, if any.
I invite you to participate, with only 29 honey bee colonies under my management here, I wanted to be able to get more information from a wide range of backyard testers who keep bees in a variety of climates and under varied pest pressure.
Your personal information will be guarded and not-released.
I will share Location, First Name, Climate information, pest species, and configuration used.
Thank you again for visiting this page.
I am not inviting participants to make their own versions, I personally respect the intellectual property of innovators and inventors, and this product has a Patent Pending: #749552
I'm all about the Honey Bees and using my experiences and education to inform beekeepers regarding my observations and sharing unbiased results. I hope you will be inspired to participate in this product evaluation with me. I've had nothing to do with its conception or design. It just makes sense to me.
If this evaluation method works, I plan to use the same citizen science evaluation and testing process when some other original thinker presents something new and interesting. The more beekeepers that I can get involved, the more accurate our collective evaluations will be.
Thank YOU!
