I know there are many portable coop plans available online and I've seen their prices for electronic delivery. This is a grass roots version and therefore, very inexpensive. The design is the one shown in the DVD Regarding Chickens and the design/plans are copyright protected.
As chicken rearing season is fast approaching, it's time to get started on those carpentry projects. This portable chicken coop (often called a chicken tractor), rolls on two wheels and may be wheeled into a garage for winter, as it's designed to fit through a standard single car garage door. This design may be moved and positioned by a single adult.
This particular design has been out since 2006. Those who have them, absolutely love the convenience and I've had nothing but positive responses. With so many requests for plans and specs, I had to go the extra yard and have them drawn up for those who want to know how it is put together.
If there are future alterations or updates to this plan/design, those who have purchased their online copy, will automatically also receive the updates in the future, if sent to the same e-mail used to purchase the original copies.
You may send photos of your finished product and I'll gladly post your handy work on this page for visitors to see how amazing your craftsmanship is!

Note the bump-out overhanging nest box at the wheel end...
This is a very nice innovation.
